pilates!

so, i've done pilates twice now....i used a video on exercise tv on comcast on demand...it was called gentle pilates...i figured for my first time it would be beginner-like...well, the instructor said that she created it especially for 50+...well, that's not me, but i tried it anyway and that 50+ pilates- kicked my butt! it was a good work-out though....

i am especially proud of myself for resisiting a hot-cinnamon bun for dessert tonight...and i made them! instead i had a bowl of strawberries w/ a little sugar on top for flavor :)

the plan...

okay, here is my plan for losing the last 30 lbs... i am "kinda" counting points...i would love to officially join weight watchers, but quite honestly i can't afford it, so i have the material and i am doing it on my own...i am exercising...i love walk away the pounds so i walk 1 or 2 miles 4 days a week and i have just recently added some pilates to the mix...so that's the plan...i am also cutting down my portion sizes...i use a child size plate and i am staying away from seconds...it's always hard at the beginning until my body gets used to the lesser amount, then it gets easier...we'll see...

the history....

let's start from the beginning....i have battled my weight since high school... i can distinctly remember my doctor telling me i was overweight at the end of my soph. year...he told me to cut out fats...i could only have like 10 grams of fat a day....well, that summer i went crazy...i probably only ate 10 grams of fat all summer! i lost like 30 lbs. and when i went back to school for my junior year, i looked very different...i remember that it wasn't that difficult...i thought it was easy...if only it was that easy again! since then i have lost and gained the same 30-50 lbs and i've gotten very good at it!
i've tried Jenny Craig, i didn't like alot of the food...i've done weight watchers, that's my favorite...i've done atkins and no-fat...
this past time i hit an all-time high for me...i hit 200 lbs! for me this was huge...i couldn't believe i had gotten that high...now, i was pregnant, but i still was very overweight. having my son i realized that i wanted to be in shape as a mother...i wanted to do things with him, and honestly i wanted to be a "cool" mom...and look like i took care of myself...i want to be able to play in the back-yard with him, and wrestle and not be out of breath...so when he was about 6mo. old...i started again...

i have lost @25lbs...and i am working now on the last 30...i decided that this would be my weight-loss therapy...i would share my highs and lows...i have no idea if anyone is going to read this and quite honestly i don't care! this is to help me battle my weight demons and lose these last 30lbs once and for all!
